A Mom Is A Mom, A Kid Is A Kid

There is so much I want to share with you.

The joy when my son is able to read 73 of the Top 100 words in the English Language.

The crazy when I am at a Reptile Show with my oldest, and he wants to see one more lizard, one more turtle, one more snake.

The doubt I feel every single day – am I messing this up? Pretty sure I am messing this up.

The hope and love that comes from other moms, encouraging me.

A blog post is too short and too limited to really tell you all the things.

A Mom is a Mom and A Kid is a Kid

So with that in mind, please join me today at The Homeschool Sisters Podcast, even if you don’t homeschool or even care a lick about homeschooling.

In this episode, I share so much about our life that just can’t be adequately described in words on a screen. I hope you will feel a little less alone and a little more understood. More than that, no matter what your child’s needs, or how you choose to educate, know that we are so much more alike than we are different.

A mom is a mom.

A kid is a kid.

We are all doing the very best we can.

  1. I’ve been reading your blog for a little while now, and it gives me such peace. I loved this podcast. You have so many great ideas and you’re so easy to relate to. Thank you!
I did notice that you said your sons have trouble memorizing the times tables. Have you seen Times Tales? My son is 10, and I’d given up on the possibility that he’d ever learn the multiplication facts until I found this. He learned them in an hour. I have a friend who just had the same experience. They use cute stories to teach the facts – maybe you could change the characters to be animals to fit your sons’ interests. I don’t work for the company or anything; I was just truly blown away by our experience. Best $20 I’ve ever spent on school…
Good luck. Thank you so much for all you write.

    1. I am so glad you took a listen, Kim. I feel like Kara and Cait really did a great job of allowing me to just be me. I am looking up the Times Tales right this second. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
